Can you make tires for toy cars

by Bob B

I am designing a line of wooden cars. I would like to be able to have plastic or rubber tires on wood wheels. Would bioplastic be possible for this and if so what would be the ingredients.
Thanks for the help.

Hi Bob! Thanks for your question.

I honestly think that for wheels, you want to go with natural rubber. Rubber is also a polymer, and is very strong and sturdy, and natural rubber is also all-natural and biodegradable like bioplastic. There are various home improvement and hobby websites where you can buy liquid / moldable natural rubber that you might be able to use for your wheels.
