in the drying process of bioplastic, there were always cracks in our film. we tried sun drying, oven and even toaster, but got the same results and even altering our reagents. we dont know how to address this problem, what do you think is the problem?

  1. I had the same cracks problem. It’s an interesting problem to solve but if somebody has got the answer already, I would not blame him for spoiling the research fun and give out the answer.

I have been trying to make bio plastic from banana peels for a very long time but

    1) it isn’t strong enough
    2) the are always cracks

I’ve been using Na2S2O5 as preservative in the start. Using glycerine as plasticiser, HCL for bonding and NaCl neutralizer. This is for packaging purposes. I’m going to try agar agar now with the peels.
    Please help me out here.
